How can I track my website traffic?

2. Real-Time Data

Google Analytics’ real-time feature is almost too good to be true. You can create Google Analytics reports with just a few clicks. It gives you complete, minute-by-minute breakdowns of how users interact with your website on an ongoing basis. This data comes from Google’s powerful search analytics feature, which tracks any internet user who has interacted with your site within the past 60 days. All this information is updated for you every minute, so you can see how many people have visited your site in the previous hour. And how many times they’ve been overall, what pages they’ve been to, and how long they spent on each page.

3. Goals, Funnels & Ecommerce Reports

There are three different ways you can use Google Analytics to track your website’s traffic, each with its own purpose. The first is the Goals report, which lets you see how many people have done specific actions on your site, such as signing up for a newsletter or downloading an ebook.

It’s best to use the Funnel report instead if you want to compare the number of visitors who reached each target during a single visit. Lastly, if you’re interested in how your online store is doing, check out the Ecommerce Reports. It will give you a breakdown of sales by product, so you can see which ones are selling well and which need improvements.

4. Custom Reports

Google Analytics is a complicated tool, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s a lot of information you can pull from your website, and the way you pull that information is by using reports. You can create a custom report for almost anything you want to track.
