Edall Systems to reinforce its vision in the field of aerospace through funding from pre-series A round

Bangalore-based Edall systems has announced plans to expand beyond the government sector, having already built civilian drones, giving it an advantage over its competitors.

Boundary Holding, a European deep-tech investment group, has invested in Edall Systems, one of India’s leading companies for small UAV manufacture and services, in a pre-series A financing.

The undisclosed sum will aid the company in achieving its goal of becoming a major leader in aerospace product development. L&T, TATA, Bosch, Indian Railways, DRDO, and LRDE Lab are among EdallSystems’ strong client list.

Invest in Edall Systems

On the other side, Rajat Khare’s Boundary Holding was the first company to invest in Edall Systems. To date, the investment business has backed a number of artificial intelligence startups, mostly in Europe. It focuses on firms that combine sophisticated and groundbreaking technologies in the areas of IoT, drones, robotics, big data, and health. Rajat Khare’s Edall Systems investment is a big leap forward for the UAV manufacturer.

Edall Systems, based in Bangalore, plans to expand beyond the government sector now that it has acquired the necessary funding, unlike other companies that primarily serve the defence sector.

It has already built drones for civilian use, giving it an advantage over its rivals in a crowded UAV industry. The company creates customised drones for businesses, and its product price range is competitive, with a focus on manufacturing off-the-shelf drones similar to those produced by Chinese companies.

Distinguishing characteristics

The company’s distinguishing characteristics were essential in attracting global investment firm Boundary Holding to invest at the opportune time. According to Rajat Khare, founder of Boundary Holding, the money would restore the Luxembourg-based company’s goal to keep up with the future of drone technology, while also hinting to future endeavours.

The worldwide drone industry, which is now dominated by the United States, China, and Israel, will reach $28.47 billion in 2021. India’s contribution is currently only 4.25 percent, according to BIS Research, but the shift in paradigm is clear, especially in light of recent events in the South Asian country.

WhiteHawk

WhiteHawk (quadcopter), a new-age drone with a maximum take-off weight of 2kg and a payload weight of 150gm, is now one of Edall Systems’ best-selling products. The sophisticated drone has a 30-minute flight time and a cruise speed of 10 m/s.

Edall Systems is more focused on markets, including land evaluation, detail recording, and mapping surveys and operations. Hundreds of aerial photos are gathering before being digitally stitches together. Using specialist mapping software to create a larger and more composite image.
