Overfeeding

Burping your baby’s mouth after feeding assists in removing the gas and making sure they are relaxed and at peace after their meal. Burping is generally performed by holding your baby straight and rubbing him or his back until he or burps.

Large Letdown

A prolonged suck could mean excessive milk in one sitting Which could lead your baby to walk away from you to breathe, and thus inhale air. This can then lead to spitting up, as the air increases after they lie down.

Be careful not to bend over while feeding your infant. Keep yourself and your child straight to ensure a steady flow of milk. This will help to stop your baby from breathing in the air. Standing up straight for your baby helps help keep their food in check.

Get a regular routine for feeding

It is vital to listen to your infant to know when they are hungry and full and to establish your own routine for feeding. This ensures that your child doesn’t go hungry for any length of time.
