Sunrise host Natalie Barr rocks Seinfeld-inspired ‘puffy shirt’

Sunrise host Natalie Barr sends viewers into a frenzy after wearing a bizarre Seinfeld-inspired ‘puffy shirt’ live on-air

Sunrise host Natalie Barr raised eyebrows on Monday when she appeared on air wearing an outrageous Seinfeld-inspired ‘puffy shirt’.

The veteran presenter, 54, ensured all eyes were on her by rocking up in the attention-grabbing long-sleeved, ruffled white top.

It didn’t take long for colleagues to notice the striking similarities between Natalie’s top and the infamous ‘puffy shirt’ Jerry sported in a 1993 episode of Seinfeld.

Newsreader Edwina Bartholomew, 39, paid a cheeky tribute to Natalie’s fashion sense by replicating the famous shocked pose Jerry makes with his friend Kramer when inspecting the gaudy top.

Edwina posted the snap to Instagram and captioned it, ‘but I don’t want to be a pirate,’ which Jerry famously said to Kramer.

Fans were whipped into a frenzy over Natalie’s bold fashion choice, with some saying it reminded them of Seinfeld and others gushing over how great she looked in it.

It comes after Natalie admitted she is open to having plastic surgery.

While the mother of two said she has always ‘been a bit scared’ of going under the knife, she would ‘never say never’ when it comes to having a bit of nip and tuck.

‘I think never say never. I haven’t had anything yet. I’ve been a bit scared, to be honest. But as I get older, I’m open to ideas,’ she told the Daily Telegraph.

In 2020, the television presenter revealed she wasn’t a fan of cosmetic injections, though she didn’t have qualms with people who were.

‘I am not one of those people who panics about looks,’ she told Stellar magazine. ‘I keep reasonably fit, I haven’t had Botox – though no judgement if you do’.

At the time, she said the secret to her youthful looks was a well-rounded approach to health and fitness, a keen interest in natural skincare and plenty of sleep.

The newsreader also regularly used a green algae face mask by Australasian skincare brand Dermaviduals.
