Stan releases season three of crime drama Godfather of Harlem starring Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker chronicling the life of Bumpy Johnson
Godfather of Harlem is one of Stan’s most highly-rated drama shows.
And the Australian streaming platform has now released the first episode of season three of the series.
The show will see Bumpy Johnson, played by Forest Whitaker, continuing his fight against the Cuban Mafia for control of Harlem.

However the feared-crime boss’ family and community are put in danger by the rival Italians, ruthless Latin assassins and the CIA.
In a sneak peek for the new season, Bumpy says: ‘That heroin was the one chance I had to control these blocks.’
‘Now I’m crawling back to the Italians with my chequebook,’ he adds as large crates of illicit drugs are being burnt.

Ilfenesh Hadera, who plays Mayme Hatcher Johnson, tells Bumpy: ‘You’re either going to work with the Italians or you’re going to fight them.’
The series also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Lucy Fry, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy and Giancarlo Esposito.
Michael Raymond-James and Jason Alan Carvell will also feature in the new season.

It was executive produced by Chris Brancato, Paul Eckstein, Forest Whitaker, Nina Yang Bongiovi, James Acheson, Markuann Smith and Joe Chappelle.
In 2020, Godfather of Harlem won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design.
Last year, the series was also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the NAACP Image Awards.
