Former Bravo producer Carlos King has accused the Real Housewives of Potomac cast of concocting ‘made-up storylines’.
He also singled out cast member Robyn Dixon for denying accusations her on-again-off-again husband Juan had been unfaithful, only to later reveal on her podcast he’d been caught messaging another woman and she’d chosen not to address it on camera.
Speaking on his podcast Reality with the King, the executive producer said it was a ‘slap in the face’ to viewers of the show who are invested in the women’s real lives.

‘Robyn admitting she hid her story from the world, on the show that pays you, is a slap in the face to everyone involved, including the audience,’ he said.
‘And the fact you had the audacity to go on your podcast to reveal this instead of the show that pays you… as a producer, I was so infuriated.’
He added: ‘I was so disturbed by the revelation because it was filled with nonchalance and laughter.’
On a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen Huger claimed Juan was secretly dating a mystery blonde.

‘There is so much I know about Robyn Dixon, and she knows I know including Juan’s other woman,’ Karen said to co-star Ashley Darby.
Karen said that the blonde woman lives in Montgomery County, that they always go on dates in Georgetown and that the woman looks like her.
Ashley asked if she thought Robyn knew about it. ‘She does know,’ Karen replied.
Robyn not only denied the allegations but said that she’d ‘never’ even heard them before and branded Karen a liar.
‘Robyn admitting that she hid her story from the world, on the show that pays you, is a slap in the face to everyone involved, including the audience,’ King said on his own podcast
However, the 43-year-old went on her Reasonably Shady podcast this week and admitted that she’d known all about Juan’s alleged infidelity before they’d even started filming season seven of RHOP.
‘A young lady came forward talking about, she and Juan “dated” during COVID.’ Robyn said.
‘And then she shows this hotel receipt with his name on it. So all of season seven I’m just, like, waiting for someone to bring it up.’
Robyn said that the situation was ‘handled’ and that it was something that both she and Juan had to ‘work through’ together.

She then provided further information about the incident behind a paywall on her Patreon account, insisting that Juan never dated the woman and that he had communicated with her on Instagram because he was ‘bored’ during the pandemic.
‘Juan was an idiot and communicated with this woman on Instagram. Because you know, whatever — he’s bored, he needs attention, it’s the pandemic, blah, blah, blah. Whatever,’ she said.
‘They did not date. He did not fly her anywhere,’ she added.
According to People magazine, Robyn said on her Patreon that Juan had simply paid for the woman’s hotel room because she had lost her wallet and that was it.

King, who worked at Bravo before producing a series of hit reality shows at Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, went on to call the current season of the Real Housewives of Potomac ‘one of the worst’ in the show’s history.
‘None of y’all are living your real lives,’ he raged. ‘Your admission, Robyn, has proven the fact that Potomac is nothing but a show about women exposing each other and throwing each other under the bus.
‘It’s not about real friendship, real relationships or your real life.’
‘None of y’all are living your real lives,’ King said of the RHOP cast, before accusing them of coming up with ‘made-up storylines’ and hiding their real lives from the cameras
King also brought up an earlier storyline in the season which saw Gizelle Bryant claim that Candiace Dillard’s husband Chris Bassett had made her feel ‘uncomfortable’ during an off-camera interaction.
‘It’s very disappointing that we spent this entire half-a**ed season with the made-up storyline about Chris Bassett,’ he said.
‘Yes. I’m gonna say made-up. I’m gonna say that because I, allegedly, was told that a few of the Housewives had a meeting before filming about what “the storyline” was going to be and that this Chris Bassett stuff was part of that conversation,’ he said.
‘That’s what I was told. Allegedly that’s what happened. Based on Robyn’s admission, I now believe it,’ he continued.
‘And the fact that you had the audacity to go on your podcast to reveal this instead of the show that pays you… as a producer I was so infuriated,’ he said of Robyn
Both Candiace and Chris have strenuously denied that anything ‘inappropriate’ took place and Candiace has claimed that Gizelle concocted it all for a storyline on the show.
Singling out Robyn again, King said: ‘So you mean to tell me you spent months filming a reality show where you were exposing everyone’s alleged reality, instead of spilling your own tea?’
King also said that Gizelle needed to start ‘giving some personal story’ on the series and that he wasn’t interested in seeing another season if Robyn isn’t honest about what’s going on in her life.
King also called a storyline where Gizelle Bryant (pictured) accused Candiace Dillard Bassett’s husband Chris of making her feel ‘uncomfortable’. The producer said it had been ‘made up’ by some of the cast members

Robyn and Juan, who originally divorced in 2012 over Juan’s infidelity, recently remarried away from the Bravo cameras.
The 43-year-old reality star and basketball coach Juan, 44, got hitched for a second time with none of her co-stars from The Real Housewives Of Potomac in attendance, according to an article by People last week.
The season seven finale of RHOP will feature footage from the wedding that was filmed after the show wrapped.

This week, Candiace fired off a string of tweets seemingly aimed at Robyn and Gizelle, accusing the pair of ‘tarnishing’ the show by not being authentic
Robyn will provide more details about her private wedding during the season seven reunion that was taped last Thursday.
Juan and Robyn share sons Corey, 14, and Carter, 13, together.
This week, Candiace fired off a string of tweets which appeared to be aimed at Robyn following her admission about Juan on her podcast.
‘Our boss’s favorite clap back when we’re playing coy about certain aspects of our lives is: “you’re on a reality show about your life.” There is an expectation that – doing no harm – we show up to this platform as our authentic selves,’ she tweeted.

‘And while we “reserve the right to be judicious about what we share,” there is a special brand of audacity attached to individuals who will knowingly bury the lede in exchange for damning and salacious lies that stand to cause irreparable harm to innocent people.
‘It tarnishes the integrity of the premise of our show. It tap dances on the intelligence of the viewership that champion our stories and discover their own parallels in our lives. And when it’s not that deep, it simply occludes amusement.’
Candiace added: ‘It’s not entertaining. It’s not interesting. It’s wack. Why be open or genuine or authentic when the least of us can rob our viewers of the truth and continually be rewarded for it?’
