Pregnant Gemma Atkinson has a spring in her step as she leaves Steph’s Packed Lunch

Gemma Atkinson had a spring in her step as she left a Leeds TV studio on Tuesday, little more than a week after announcing her second pregnancy. 

The former Hollyoaks actress confirmed she is expecting a baby boy with Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez in an Instagram post on January 21. 

And she appeared to be glowing following an appearance on Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch, where she debated the relevance of pre-nuptial agreements with fellow guest Denise Van Outen.

The actress, 38, looked relaxed in a white T-shirt and ripped jeans teamed with a mint green jacket and trainers as she made her way towards a waiting car. 

Appearing on Steph’s Packed Lunch earlier that day, Gemma admitted she would consider signing a prenuptial agreement in order to preserve her personal wealth should she ever marry Spanish dancer Gorka, with whom she raises daughter Mia. 

She explained: ‘From 15 to 33 before I met Gorka, everything I got for myself during that time like properties, which is all still mine, still in my name.

‘With living together with Gorka, especially with Mia, we split everything fifty-fifty… It’s the same for him. He’s had his dance career since he was 16 and he’s got stuff in Spain that’s nothing to do with me.

‘We’ve said anything he’s got from before meeting me and I’ve got from before meeting him, that’s ours. Anything now is our family’s. 

‘But if we were to get married, we would do the prenup as well. Just to be sensible about it really and protect Mia more than anybody.’

The actress also admitted her second pregnancy has been more difficult than her first, because she’s experiencing symptoms for the first time. 

She said: ‘With Mia I had no symptoms… straight away within two to three weeks, my boobs were getting sore, I was feeling nauseous. I said to Gorka, I need to do a test…’ 

Asked if they had decided upon a name, she added: ‘I’d like a Spanish element to it because they’re half Spanish. But I said to Gorka, we have to be careful because they’re going to have an accent like me. 

‘They’re growing up in Manchester, we can’t have like “alright Pedro”… It’s got to be something that sounds good in Mancunian.’
