Definitely not defying gravity! Patsy Palmer takes a stumble during her Wicked-themed Dancing On Ice routine… while EastEnders co-star Sid Owen watches on from the audience
Patsy Palmer took a stumble onto her back during Sunday evening’s episode of Dancing On Ice as she stepped out for a Wicked inspired routine.
The soap star was mid routine with partner Matt Evers when she took a wrong step and ended up hitting the ice, before being lifted back upright by the pro.
And in the audience to support her during the routine was Sid Owen, who famously played her on-screen husband Ricky Butcher in EastEnders.

Patsy took on the role of character Elphaba from the West End show Wicked, and was even painted green as she took to the ice in the role.
But despite a strong start for the actress and partner Matt, who danced to the production’s song Defying Gravity, things took a turn halfway through.
Patsy skated alongside her professional partner while he followed closely behind with arms around her.
The star appeared to lose her footing as she fell to her back on the ice, narrowly missing a hit from Matt’s skate as he glided past, before sharply making a stop to rescue her.

It was a quick turnaround for Patsy, who got back to her feet and continued the routine with confidence after the wobble.
And finishing off strong, the actress was elevated into the air as she completed the performance overlooking the ice.
The beauty still managed to receive positive comments from the judges despite the fall, as they lauded her hard work.
‘If you’re falling, you’re trying,’ praised judge Christopher Dean.
While the couple managed to grab a score of 20.5, putting her second from the leaderboard after Michelle Heaton.
And there to watch from the audience was Patsy’s former soap co-star Sid, who was excited to see his long-time pal on the ice.
The star famously portrayed Bianca Jackson in EastEnders, with one of her most famous storylines alongside Sid as they played a rocky on-off couple.
Making a jibe at one famous scene from the soap, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield shouted ‘Rickyyyy’ while chatting to the actor before Patsy’s performance.
Despite the fall, Patsy and Matt managed to skate their way through to next week’s show as it was Liberty X star Michelle who lost her position in the competition.
Explaining the new format switch up earlier in the show, Phil shared: ‘We’ll combine the judges scores with your vote and then the lowest placed couple will go straight out of the competition.’
‘For one week only…there’s no skate off to save them,’ he added, as Holly branded the move ‘brutal’.
