Olivia Attwood set for shock return to I’m A Celeb jungle after quitting last year’s series

Get out of here! Olivia Attwood, 31, is set for shock return to the I’m A Celeb jungle after quitting last year’s series due to a health scare

Olivia Attwood is set for a sensational return to I’m A Celebrity after she was forced to leave the jungle last year following concerns for her health.

ITV took doctors’ advice and decided she should leave the jungle after just one day. But the network has now signed her up again.

Sources close to the broadcaster say they were ‘absolutely disappointed’ when blood tests showed she had dangerously low potassium levels as they had hoped to make her one of their most high-profile faces.

So bosses have orchestrated a plan to get the former Love Island star back for the new series later this year.

One source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Olivia’s time in the jungle last year was to give her a platform so that ITV could give her a big show.

‘They had a huge future mapped out for her. She’s a big draw for the much-sought-after younger viewers.

‘Then it all came to an end after her blood tests came back.

‘Now they are getting her back for this year and will start the whole plan again. ITV bosses know she will be so popular on I’m A Celeb… and that viewers will just love her.’

During last year’s series, Ms Attwood, 31, was taken to A&E after a routine blood test showed that she was anaemic.

In an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, she said: ‘It felt like the longest journey ever.

‘I was thinking that my blood was normal a month or so ago, so I don’t know what to think.

‘I was wondering if I had picked up a virus, was I pregnant, all these things were going through my head. It was frightening.’

Because of insurance issues, ITV producers deemed her return to last year’s series too high-risk.

The star said: ‘If I went back into the camp, my levels might drop and it could be detrimental to my health and wellbeing … I was absolutely devastated.

‘I’m not a crier but I started to cry. It was emotional. I was heartbroken.’

After appearing on Love Island in 2017, Ms Attwood last year presented ITV documentary Getting Filthy Rich about the selling of sexual content on website OnlyFans.
