Fans have expressed concern after singing legend Nelly was seen with his eyes rolling backwards and blinking excessively during a Melbourne gig on Wednesday.

The Hot in Herre hitmaker, 48, took to the stage at Juicy Fest to perform Over And Over with his eyes continuously rolling into the back of his head.

Sporting blue jeans, a white T-shirt and huge diamond chain, the star rapped his 2004 hit before rolling his eyes and waving his hands in the air.

Clips of the performance were quickly posted online by fans, with some saying he was struggling under the bright lights.

Others said the rapper should have considered cancelling the gig.

‘Someone off stage is signalling him to see if he alright, but he blaming it on the lights,’ wrote one person.

‘This was hard to watch. His people should have cancelled that show,’ said another.

‘Every video I see if him performing gets funnier and funnier,’ another fan commented on Instagram.

‘I think he’s malfunctioning,’ added one fan.

‘Is Nelly possessed? Did the illuminati get him?’ joked another fan. ‘Looking like some satanic ritual s*** there with the eyes rolling bad.’

‘Nelly’s eyes were fighting for their life. His crew should have told him to keep his glasses on.’ added a Twitter user.
