‘I hope there’s more sex’: Love Island’s Megan Barton Hanson calls for more raunchy scenes in the new season and hopes to take away the TV stigma
Megan Barton Hanson has revealed she’s hoping to see more sex scenes in the new series of Love Island.
The former Love Island and OnlyFans star, 28, is hoping that the show takes away stigma and shame surrounding having sex on TV, explaining that it’s a ‘healthy thing’.
It comes as the new series of the dating show kicked off on Monday evening, welcoming 11 new singletons into the new Cape Town villa.

Megan appeared on the show in 2018 and ended up making it to the final with then-beau Wes Nelson, before their subsequent split in 2019.
During the show, the blonde beauty got steamy with Wes and prior partner Eyal Booker, and has since spoken about being ‘slut-shamed’ following the TV appearance.
Hoping for a change in opinions surrounding the topic of sex on the show, Megan told Closer: ‘Sex is a healthy thing and if both people are consenting, there should be no shame! I hope in this season there’s more sex, more talk about it and less shame!’

‘The boys never got asked that question. I know that for a fact because I was always next to Wes. He wasn’t asked that once,’ she explained.
The Love Island villa is kitted out with branded condoms and a luxe hideaway room for couples to enjoy alone time, with contestants often coming up with code words to detail their sexual escapades.
And since appearing on the show, Megan has had high-profile relationships with Chelcee Grimes, and TOWIE cast members Demi Sims and James Lock.
Speaking on her time after the show, Megan shared: ”Straight after the show, every question I was asked was: “Are you embarassed about having sex on TV?” Why should I be embarassed?’
While she has been busy making millions on adult-only site OnlyFans since appearing on the dating show.
And after her former co-star Adam Collard returned to the show for a second tme last year, Megan, who is bisexual, hasn’t ruled out a return either – but perhaps a bit later on in life.
She explained: ‘I think i’m too old for love island now, maybe if they did a LGBTQ+ one. I’d definately go for that, Or maybe a middle aged one – If I’m still single at 40, I’ll have another crack at it!’
