Love Island’s Anna McEvoy reveals she booked and paid a deposit for her destination wedding venue – even though she hasn’t seen it yet
Love Island Australia‘s Anna McEvoy may have booked her dream wedding venue, but there’s just one problem: she hasn’t seen it yet.
The 30-year-old opened up about her destination wedding plans on her podcast Where’s Your Head At?, which she co-hosts with Matt Zukowski.
Anna revealed she’d paid the deposit for the venue, located on the Greek island of Corfu, and was excited about planning the rest of her wedding, after getting engaged to her fiancĂ© Michael Staples in October.

The couple decided to marry in Corfu after travelling through other Greek islands in the past.
Their wedding venue is part of a fully renovated nine-bedroom estate, where the bride and groom’s family and close friends will be staying.Â
‘We put a deposit down on a wedding venue in Corfu, but Michael and I have both never been to Corfu,’ she said.

The couple acknowledged a lot of people wouldn’t be able to attend their wedding due to the distance.
So an intimate engagement party for family and friends will be held in April.
Anna and Michael are planning a large affair with up to 90 guests so those who can’t fly to Greece will be able to celebrate with them.

With both venues now booked, Anna and Michael have ticked off two main priorities from their wedding to-do list.Â
Anna said she had done a lot of research on Greece, and thought there would be heaps of suitable venues, but only a few caught her eye.Â
She rose to fame on season two of Love Island Australia, and won the show with Josh Packham but they split in December 2020.Â
