Lizzo unveils her very glamorous wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas with a cheeky joke


Lizzo took to social media on Wednesday to unveil her very first wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in Las Vegas.

The True Hurts hitmaker, 34, proudly shared her stunning lifelike likeness on TikTok, Twitter, and her Instagram Stories, as she posed next to the glamorously dressed figure.

The singer was immortalized in a stunning sleeveless white gown, featuring feather details on the train as well as a feather shawl draped over one of her arms, which were outstretched. 

Lizzo — who released a new music video for her song Special on Wednesday — also shared a cheeky video on her Twitter of her pretending to give the wax figure a kiss. 

In the caption she joked: ‘Single-handedly one of the most terrifyingly meta moments of my life. Thank you @MadameTussauds – now I know what a twosome with Lizzo is like.’

The wax figure’s dress was the same look Lizzo wore to the 2020 Grammy Awards: a white Atelier Versace dress with Swarovski crystals. 

The star stood next to her twin in a stylish argyle pattern dress with structured shoulders. 

Lizzo’s dazzling statue also featured a double lawyer of diamond necklaces around her neck.

The glamorous figure had on strappy wrap-around heels and long white nails.

The statues long black tresses were styled into chic loose waves cascading down her back.

Lizzo’s likeness also wore glamorous makeup, featuring big lashes, smokey eyeshadow and a cranberry shade of gloss.

Meanwhile the Grammy Award winner — born Melissa Viviane Jefferson — wore he tresses in a chic ponytail.

The songstress accessorized her look with black heels and wore stunning makeup similar in style to her wax figure.

Lizzo also had some fun in other playful videos of the statue, with one of the calling the wax figure a ‘catfish.’

‘YALL THOUGHT IT WAS A PICTURE HUH?! GOTCHU AGAIN SUCKAS AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA’ she captioned the clip. 

It’s been a thrilling day for the star, who also released a music video for her song Special on Wednesday.

She sported a superhero costume for the video as she went around her neighborhood saving people while dealing with people debating if she was a ‘hero or women-ace.’

For the chorus, the beauty sings, ‘In case nobody told you today / You’re special (special) / In case nobody made you believe / You’re special (special).’

Both the video and the song focused on the importance of loving oneself, supporting others, and self-esteem.

Since bursting onto the music scene with her chart-topping hit Truth Hurts in 2017, the superstar has been a champion of body positivity and has made inclusivity one of her main goals. 

Lizzo appeared to enjoy wearing the purple superhero costume and also took to TikTok in the getup.
