Kyle Sandilands reveals the ultimatum his fiancée Tegan Kynaston gave him before she fell pregnant with their son Otto: ‘Ship off if you’re not interested’
Kyle Sandilands has revealed why his fiancée Tegan Kynaston almost called it quits on their relationship before falling pregnant with their son Otto.
Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph, the KIIS FM radio announcer, 51, said Tegan, 35, made it clear in the early stages of their relationship that she wouldn’t date someone who didn’t want to start family.
‘It was not like a desire of mine for my whole life, and then when Tegan said it’s now or never, like: “Ship off if you’re not interested in a family” — said in a much tenderer way than that of course — and I thought: “Well, it’s now or never”,’ he told the publication.

Kyle became a first-time father in August following the birth of his son Otto, and has taken to fatherhood like a duck to water.
‘They all say: “It’s the best thing we’ve ever done’ and it is”,’ he gushed.
The radio titan admitted he’s still getting used to fatherhood and the responsibilities it brings.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph, Kyle said Tegan made it clear in the early stages of their relationship that she wouldn’t date someone who didn’t want to start family
‘Every time we go for his little three-month check-up, or his four-month vaccinations, we’re like: “Oh God”… you know, it’s all these weird worries I’ve never had before,’ he admitted.
‘Because I wouldn’t go to the doctor unless I was on death’s door and needed to be resuscitated … so it’s weird now, being responsible for someone else. But it’s very nice and we’re having a lot of joy.’
The new parents are set to marry in April, a few weeks after the finale of Kyle’s show Australian Idol.

Kyle told the publication that he’s hoping to hire the winner of the iconic singing competition to perform at his nuptials.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who is a hobby DJ who goes by the stage name DJ Albo, has already agreed to play at the wedding.
Kyle was briefly married to singer Tamara Jaber from 2008 to 2010.
He then went on to have an eight-year long relationship with model, Imogen Anthony.
Despite publicly discussing marriage, the couple later split in late 2019.
