Jennifer Coolidge has opened up about her career renaissance, after her star turn on The White Lotus took her from a B-list actress to a golden girl of television.
The 61-year-old was interviewed on Sunrise on Wednesday to promote her new action-comedy Shotgun Wedding, co-starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel.
She said she’d been ‘enjoying the ride’ of success ever since being reintroduced to younger audiences with her 2018 cameo in the music video for Ariana Grande‘s Thank You, Next.

After being given a boost of exposure once again, she was offered a series of high-profile film and television roles.
One thing led to another, and Jennifer landed her critically acclaimed role as the eccentric, lovelorn heiress Tanya McQuoid on HBO’s The White Lotus.
She won her first Golden Globe for that role earlier this month.

‘The ride [her career momentum] stopped at one point, and [writer-director] Mike White gave me the great break with The White Lotus,’ she said.
‘It never would have happened if he didn’t do that, it’s a cool thing.’
The comeback queen had all eyes on her when she made a show-stopping arrival at the premiere of Shotgun Wedding in Los Angeles last Wednesday.
