Ireland Baldwin reveals the ‘classy’  name she selected for her daughter

Ireland Baldwin plans on naming her daughter Holland.

Speaking on Girlboss Radio podcast, Ireland revealed she selected the name as she herself is also named after a country.

The model, 27, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend RAC, explained with a chuckle: ‘We’re naming her Holland. I’m Ireland, so another country because we wanted to keep that consistent.’

The name was also inspired by actress Holland Taylor.

‘And then I love the actress Holland Taylor. I’ve always loved that name since I was young, I just thought that was such a classy, beautiful name, so we’re going with Holland.’

Ireland announced her pregnancy on New Year’s Eve, posting a photo of her sonogram and tagging her partner RAC, born Andre Allen Anjos, in the image.

Baldwin and Anjos began seeing each other in 2021, and he made his first appearance on her Instagram in June.

Last year, RAC announced he and Baldwin opened a shop on the Oregon coast called Good Times. The two also have plans to open a cafe together.

Ireland slipped out she was expecting a daughter on Instagram before her mother Kim Basinger confirmed the news on her own account.

The model referred to her child as a ‘her’ as she embarked on a virtual vent session about her pregnancy earlier this month. 

‘If one more person asks me to send a picture of my bump to them, I’m going to lose my mind. Because I don’t have one. My child is so deeply nestled in there, and I’m tall, and there’s just a lot of room for her in there,’ Ireland said in her videos. 

It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for the Baldwin family, after it was revealed that Ireland’s superstar father Alec Baldwin will be officially charged with manslaughter over his role in the tragic Rust shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Prosecutors in Santa Fe, New Mexico, formally filed charges against Baldwin today.

Baldwin has vowed to fight the charges. He says he never pulled the trigger, and that it was a tragic accident.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.

Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has also been charged.
