Generally, plunge pools will be filled with cold water to refresh our bodies.

Usually, a plunge pool will be 4 to 8 feet deep, whereas typically a hot tub will be about 2 to 3 feet deep.

Hot tubs are mostly designed for just sitting down. Though a larger plunge pool will not be big enough for real swimming, you can easily move around to get some exercise.

Hot tubs:

  • Usually come with bells and whistles, massage jet systems, lights, and water-fall features
  • Provide massage therapy

Plunge pool:

  • Does not have features like hot tubs but plunge pools can be customized to add any features that you like.
