Holly Willoughby giggles over ‘trim your bush’ segment on This Morning

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left stifling laughter on This Morning on Thursday, when Phil had to introduce a segment about ‘trimming your bush’.

Phil, 60, was trying to introduce a segment on winter gardening when he had to say the line, with Phil saying it was a stitch-up from show producer Ollie.

‘Welcome back. Still to come. From trimming your… Ollie, Ollie. He has written that and it’s the first time I’ve seen it,’ Phil said, looking a bit annoyed at first as Holly laughed.

‘Go back to the beginning, I’m going to do this sensibly and professionally,’ he said as he tried to restart the segment introduction.

He went on while holding back a laugh: ‘From trimming your bush to leaving something out for your birds, we have a list of winter jobs for you in the garden.’

The production team added a cheeky ‘ohh’ voice over when Phil repeated the phrase ‘trimming your bush’.

In September, Holly and Phil were left in stitches on This Morning when they were forced to cut a ‘nude segment’ on the show due to an unfortunate editing gaffe.

Phillip, 60, explained that they had pre-recorded an interview with two people who are cycling naked for charity, but had to hold off airing it because they noticed the man’s ‘bits’ were showing.

A laughing Holly, 41, opened the show by saying: ‘We did have something quite eye-opening.’

Phil added: ‘We’ve got two naked cyclists on a tandem who have cycled one thousand miles, raised over £5,000 for charity, so we’ve pre-recorded it, just watched it back and you can see his bits.’

Holly couldn’t help but laugh as she explained that they’d tried ‘blurring out’ the rude editing error, while Phillip said they were trying to ‘cut away from it’.

Phillip said they had been forced to send the clip back to the editing team, who were trying to cover up the man’s modesty.

‘Put a big old aubergine emoji over it,’ Holly said with a smile.

It comes after Kim Woodburn demanded the hosts be sacked while weighing into ‘queue gate’.

The Celebrity Big Brother star, 80, readdressed the drama while appearing on the Not My Bagg podcast.

Holly and Philip were accused of jumping the queue at Westminster Hall in London last week while tens of thousands of mourners patiently waited for 12 hours at a time to pay their respects to Her Majesty – but argued their visit was ‘strictly for reporting’.

Speaking about the incident, Kim told Gogglebox hosts Joe and George Baggs: ‘They were not, were not asked to cover the Queen’s funeral.

‘They sneaked in and they put these press things they got, they sneaked in because they wouldn’t stand in a queue, they are far too high and mighty. It is true.

‘Don’t listen to another word they say. They were not contracted, they were not allowed to film, nobody was, so they did sneak in.

She furiously added: ‘They should have lost their job.’

The ‘devastated’ presenters – who are reportedly paid as much as £600,000 for hosting the popular daytime show from Mondays to Thursdays- have faced growing fury after images of them appearing to ‘skip the queue’ emerged while tens of thousands of mourners patiently waited for 12 hours at a time.

Holly was reportedly in floods of tears as she and Phil both begged This Morning bosses to defend them from the ensuing storm – and were furious that ITV sat on their hands before issuing a short statement defending the pair.

The pair were keen to issue a public apology over ‘queue-gate’, but were talked out of it after taking legal advice, a source told MailOnline.
