Harrison Ford, 80, looks fit in a blazer and blue jeans in New York City… as he promotes his two news shows Shrinking and 1923

Harrison Ford was spotted as he stepped out in New York City on Wednesday morning.

The 80-year-old performer – who recently praised his former costar Ke Huy Quan –  appeared to be unbothered by the swarms of fans asking for his autograph as he made his way back to his hotel.

The actor’s outing took place less than a week after the premiere of the new comedy-drama program Shrinking, in which he appears. He also stars in 1923.

Ford kept it relatively casual in a black jacket and a blue shirt that were worn underneath a sizable overcoat.

The Star Wars franchise star also donned a set of slim-fitting blue jeans and a pair of leather boots.

The performer currently serves as one of the principal cast members of Shrinking, which premiered last Friday.

The program is centered on a therapist who, after dealing with the death of his wife, unexpectedly begins bluntly speaking his mind about his patients’ issues.

The show stars Jason Segel as Jimmy Laird, while Ford portrays the character’s colleague and friend, Dr. Paul Rhodes.

Other cast members include Jessica Williams, Michael Urie and Christa Miller.

Development on the program was initially revealed to the public in October of 2021, and Ford, as well as several other cast members, were announced to have been attached to the project last April.

Physical production on the now-released series also officially began that same month.

Shrinking’s first two episodes were eventually released on the AppleTV+ streaming service on January 27.

The program has received positive reviews from critics, with much praise going towards the Blade Runner star, and it currently holds an 82% score on Rotten Tomatoes

Shrinking’s co-creators, Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein and Segel, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, and the latter of the three spoke about how they came into contact with the Indiana Jones franchise star.

‘You offer it to someone like Harrison Ford, so that for like a week you can say out loud, “Oh, we’re out to Harrison Ford.” And then you’ll go to the real person. Then Brett heroically got him,’ he recalled.

The performer went on to express that Ford was incredibly easy to work with as the project was filmed.

‘He does something really amazing from the moment he arrives, which is he makes you feel like a peer. He breaks down that “you’re supposed to be in awe” thing real fast,’ he said.

Goldstein then spoke about how the actor was enthusiastic about working on the show.

‘When I watched the read-through of the pilot, I could see glee in his eyes…and when he was getting big laughs in the room, I was like, “Oh, this is new for him.”‘

Shrinking’s third episode is currently scheduled to premiere this coming Friday.
