Wow! Happy Valley fans have made a starling observation after seeing a throwback picture of the series’ leading lady Sarah Lancashire
Fans will recall that Catherine and her colleagues Ann and Joyce went to see the band in series two after Ann joined the police following her kidnap and rape ordeal.
Sharing a pic of Catherine at the concert, one viewer said: ‘Throwback to when ABBA met Catherine (Sarah)’.
After looking at the photo, one eagle-eyed fan said: ‘That picture looks like Sarah dressed as Catherine, not Catherine, it’s MAD how her physicality creates the character.’

Another said: : ‘1000%! Never thought of this. It’s so obviously Sarah in Catherine’s clothes. Probably the great big beam on her face too. (We rarely get that from our Cath these days haha).’
A third then commented: ‘That’s a really good observation. Spot on!’
It comes as it was revealed that Happy Valley has filmed extra scenes in a bid to keep the hugely anticipated finale to the BBC drama underwraps.

Star of the third and final series of the crime series Amit Shah, who plays the drug -dealing pharmacist at the centre of this season’s murder plot, has spilled the show secrets.
Speaking on the podcast Obsessed with… Happy Valley, Amit insisted he has no clue how his character Faisal’s storyline will end as he filmed multiple endings.
‘I still don’t know how it all ends up for him because we filmed the final scenes in various different ways,’ he explained.
Viewers have seen Faisal murder Joanna Hepworth in a fit of rage after his drug-dealing sideline began to unravel.

A key scene in the latest episode saw a cool, calm and collected Faisal in a confrontation with Joanna’s abusive husband just hours after the murder.
Speaking on the podcast Amit added of Faisal’s latest scenes: ‘I think he’s going through that weird transition period.
‘When the collision happens and he realises it’s Rob, like a switch goes in his head. He thinks, “Okay, I can either be Faisal from before or I can take control of the situation’. It’s just a different him.”
The last five minutes of the latest episode of the hit BBC drama saw major developments in the two storylines, as Rob Hepworth discovered his wife Joanna’s body, and Tommy Lee Royce made his great escape.
Finale: Cawood’s hatred for Tommy Lee Royce has simmered over three series and as the final episode of Happy Valley draws near, fans have predicted the ultimate showdown
One fan declared that the show ‘makes it impossible to get an early night’ as the episode ended with yet another cliffhanger and the prospect of a final showdown between Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) and Royce (James Norton).
Meanwhile the series’ other major story strand played out as Joanna’s disappearance raised suspicions.
Episode three saw Faisal Bhatti murder Joanna in a fit of rage after their plan to kill Rob unravelled.
Despite her husband Rob insisting it was in her character to disappear, Joanna’s concerned parents were seen arriving at the police station to file a missing person report with Sgt Cawood.
After being questioned at home, Rob noticed a suitcase in the garage and opened it to the horrifying scene of his wife’s body crammed inside.
Viewers hailed the show’s writer Sally Wainwright for her skill in bringing two storylines to a head in a matter of minutes.
‘To build that amount of tension in an episode takes skill, but to build that amount of tension on 2 separate story strands within an episode, is writing & direction of the highest order. #HappyValley,’ declared one fan.
Another pointed out that ‘Happy Valley makes it impossible to get an early night on a Sunday. Every episode leaves you with a heart rate of about 200 BPM.’
‘Jesus christ. Didn’t breathe for about ten minutes,’ agreed another.
Others reasoned that once again Cawood’s hunch that Tommy was planning something during his court hearing proved to be right, as they begged her colleagues and family to ‘always listen to Catherine when she’s got a hunch.’
Tommy’s escape signals that a final showdown between him and Cawood is building, but with it being the final series some viewers are beginning to worry that Sarah Lancashire’s lead won’t make it to retirement.
‘If bad things happen to Catherine at the end of this series I’m not sure I will be able to forgive Sally Wainwright and co.’ tweeted author JoJo Moyes.
Happy Valley continues on BBC One on Sunday at 9pm.
