‘Frisky’ MAFS bride is mortified by her portrayal as a sex-obsessed ‘freak in the sheets’

Married At First Sight’s Melissa Sheppard has been portrayed as a frisky cougar who loves a romp in the sheets.

But the hairdresser from Sydney‘s Northern Beaches, 41, is reportedly ‘mortified’ by her racy edit and insists she isn’t like that at all.

She is now too ’embarrassed to even leave her house’ after being ‘made to look like a sex pest’, reports Woman’s Day.

‘Melissa’s sister has been contacting former cast members to ask them to post that she’s not how she’s being portrayed,’ a source said.

‘Producers definitely prodded her into saying those soundbites after she’d had a few wines.’

The insider added: ‘She was self-conscious about being the oldest bride so they’d tell her things like “talk to the younger ones about sex and they’ll know you’re cool like them”.’

Melissa joined the social experiment during last week’s season premiere and was buzzing with excitement as she introduced herself to viewers.

‘I am so excited! Tonight’s going to be, like, a mums gone wild night, I feel,’ Melissa exclaimed as she spoke to a producer inside her limousine ahead of the hen’s night.

Discussing her colourful dating history, Melissa said: ‘I look like the girl next door, but I like to see myself actually as a little freak in the sheets.’

‘I’m no regular mum. Warning! Warning! I am sassy, I am loud, and I like to spice things up. I love roleplaying. Yeah, sex is huge for me,’ she giggled.

Melissa was then filmed sorting through her lingerie drawer, presumably while packing for her wedding night and honeymoon.

Outside the hen’s night, Melissa told the cameras: ‘I’m so excited for my wedding, I can’t wait! My husband-to-be, enjoy your last night of freedom, because you’re about to be married to me. It’s a lot.’

The randy blonde proceeded to shock fellow brides Bronte Schofield and Lyndall Grace by sharing intimate details of X-rated weekend escapades.

‘So, I got married in my twenties. I was single in my thirties. I’ve dated… and of course I’ve had weekend warriors,’ she confessed. 

‘I look like the girl next door but I’m actually a little freak in the sheets,’ the Sydney-based hairdresser told the camera
