Everything You Need to Know About FBISD Skyward

FBISD Skyward is an online student information system that allows parents and students to view grades, attendance, and other important information about the student’s academic career. As a parent or student in FBISD, you have probably heard of Skyward.

For over eight years, FBISD has been a loyal customer of Skyward. This year they were excited to pilot the latest innovation in an online enrollment solution and found that not only did it meet all their needs but also impressed them greatly!

FBISD will be use Skyward’s Family Portal which is a new product built on the Salesforce platform. It provides parents and guardians with an easy to use, one-stop view of their student’s academic information. This secure site includes attendance, grades, assignment submission history, course schedules, transcripts and more! The portal also allows parents to easily communicate with teachers and school staff.

Family access account:

To access your account, simply go to fbisd.net and click on the Skyward link in the top right corner. You will be prompted to enter your username and password. If you are a parent or guardian, your username is your Parent Portal ID number (found on the bottom of your student’s report card). The password is the same as your Parent Portal password.

Once you are logged in, you will see a home screen that looks like this:

The Family Portal provides parents with an overview of their student’s academic progress by displaying grades and attendance for the current and previous semesters. You can also view upcoming and past assignments, as well as the submission history for each assignment. In addition, transcripts and course schedules are available for download.

To stay updated on your student’s progress, you can subscribe to email notifications.  You can also choose to receive daily or weekly digests of your student’s progress.

The steps to get your account set up are as follows.

-First, go onto Facebook and find the “Settings” option under your name at top right corner of screen; click this button twice until completely filled with text (you will need ID/gender info); next copy or type in using pop-up window key field then hit return omn SPACEBEEP select Save Changes when finished making changes desired.”

-Second, go to fbisd.edu website; under Parents quick link tab on right side of screen select “Parent Portal”; this will take you to new page”

-Third, on new page scroll down till you see “Login Here” in blue; click it and enter your credentials (username and password); if you don’t remember your password there is a “Forgot Password” link you can click on to help

-Fourth, once logged in hit the “Home” button which will take you to your Family Portal account where you will be able to see all of your students and their progress report cards!
