EastEnders SPOILER: Lola Pearce finally tells her daughter Lexi that she is dying – before a surprise reunion with her long-lost mum
Lola Pearce will finally break the news to her daughter Lexi that she is dying of cancer in EastEnders next week.
In emotional scenes, Lola decides it is finally time to tell her little girl the truth about her illness after learning that she has been avoiding school to stay with her until she gets better.
But this won’t be the only struggles that Lola will face in the upcoming episodes, as she is also unknowingly reunited with her long-lost mother Emma after Lexi approaches her in the playground.

In next week’s episodes, Lola (Danielle Harold) is concerned when Lexi (Lilla Turner) feigns illness to stay off school. Ben (Max Bowden) takes her in but receives a call to pick her up shortly afterwards.
It transpires that Lexi wants to be with Lola 24/7 until she’s better, and this leads the mother to finally decide that it’s time to be honest and tell Lexi that she’s dying.
Lola braces herself to tell Lexi that she’s dying, and it’s no surprise that news hits her daughter extremely hard.
What’s going on? In upcoming scenes, Lola will also be reunited with her long-lost mum Emma, despite being unaware of her real identity

However, instead of crying, Lexi demands to go back to school, furious that Lola lied to her.
After school, Lola’s long-lost mum Emma (Patsy Kensit) approaches Lexi in the playground, and the schoolgirl is completely obviously that she is talking to her grandmother.
After some comforting words to her oblivious granddaughter, Emma heads to Fox & Hair salon, where she books an appointment for the next day and specifically asks for Lola’s services.
The next day, Lola decides it’s time to return to work, and welcomes new client Emma to her chair, failing to recognise that she is her mother.

Emma doesn’t reveal their true connection, but before the appointment, Lola starts to feel unwell, and Denise steps in, explaining that she’s got some health problems.
Later, Emma gets a shock when she watches Lola’s latest vlog, and returns to the salon on the pretence of needing a nail appointment and quizzes her daughter.
As they discuss her vlog, Lola lets slip that a girl at school has been nasty to Lexi about the videos and upset her.
Will Lola discover the truth about her mother’s identity?
