Insatiable alum Debby Ryan suited up for the world premiere of her film Shortcomings at the Eccles Theatre in Park City on Sunday during the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
The Alabama-born 29-year-old looked sophisticated in a black diamond-print double-breasted blazer, matching wide-leg pants, and pointy-toed heels selected by stylist Chris Horan.
Debby – who’s married to Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun – had her fringed ombré waves coiffed into two back braids, which were interlaced with safety pins and rhinestone stars.

The former Disney Channel star was joined at the premiere by her co-stars Timothy Simons, Sherry Cola, Ally Maki, director Randall Park, and co-star Justin H. Min.
Shortcomings marks the 48-year-old Fresh Off the Boat alum’s feature directorial debut, which will compete for the popular fest’s Grand Jury Prize.
The Asian-American Bay Area dramedy – based on screenwriter Adrian Tomine’s 2007 graphic novel – also stars Tavi Gevinson, Sonoya Mizuno, Jacob Batalon, and Timothy Simons.

‘This film is called Shortcomings. Not unlike my own shortcomings, it is complicated and messy and comedic and also has a lot to do with finding ways to belong and be loved lol… I have not seen it yet but I’m gonna check it out at Sundance this weekend!’
There’s still four more in-person screenings of Ryan’s film on January 23, 24, 26, and 27.
