Dancing On Ice: Carly Stenson sets the bar high as she earns her highest score of the series so far

Dancing On Ice: Carly Stenson sets the bar high as Hollyoaks actress earns her highest score of the series so far with an impressive 32.5 in bid to avoid the dreaded skate-off

Dancing On Ice saw the celebrities pull out all the stops for week four as they showcased their moves for the dance week special.

And Carly Stenson certainly set the bar high on Sunday night as she scored an impressive 32.5 with her Samba-inspired routine.

The former Hollyoaks actress, 40, took to the floor alongside Mark Hanretty, with the star hoping to impress with her Salsa – especially since her former Strictly star husband Danny Mac bagged the perfect score alongside his partner Oti Mabuse.

Meanwhile, the celebrities are under extra pressure this week as the dreaded dance-off returns after an absence last week, which resulted in Michelle Heaton‘s exit from the show.

It comes after Ekin-Su Culculoglu has sent out a defiant message to her after viewers complained to Ofcom about her recent performance on the show.

The reality star, 28, and her professional skating partner Brendyn Hatfield, 36, gave a nod to the moment she crawled across the floor in the Love Island villa last summer to steal a kiss with Jay Younger behind her now-boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti‘s back.

Wow! Dancing On Ice’s Carly Stenson set the bar high on Sunday night as she scored an impressive 32.5 with her Samba-inspired routine

Actress Ekin-Su was seen wearing a sequinned catsuit while performing a steamy jive on the ITV figure skating last month as she performed to Britney Spears‘ song Toxic but the display was too much for some viewers, prompting 112 complaints to TV regulator Ofom.

The television personality said the kick-back from show fans knocked her confidence but, after a prim and proper performance last week as The Sound of Music’s Maria von Trapp, Ekin-Su is determined not to let any negative feedback get her down, insisting she is simply going to be herself.

She told the Sunday People: ‘I’m not going to just back off anymore, I’m going to be confident again.

‘I’m going to fight. I’m here, I’m ready. I’m going to shine and I’m going to be me again.’

It comes after Michelle Heaton  commented on her exit from Dancing On Ice, taking to Instagram to say she was ‘heartbroken’ and ‘gutted’ to be leaving.

She shared a video of herself and her two children backstage, saying: ‘Aw guys, I’m absolutely gutted,’ while her son AJ, eight, jumped in and said: ‘We are so sad.’
