Chloe Lattanzi attends her first red carpet event since death of her mum Olivia Newton-John

She has been grieving the death of her mother Olivia Newton-John after the Grease star lost her battle with breast cancer in August last year.

But Chloe Lattanzi put on a brave face as she attended her first red carpet event on Sunday evening.

The singer, 36, attended the G’Day LA Gala in Los Angeles with Olivia’s husband John Easterling.

The blonde bombshell turned heads in a revealing slinky little black dress, which showed off plenty of cleavage and her slender legs.

Chloe recently broke down as she delivered a heart-wrenching tribute to her late mother at the 36th annual ARIA Awards.

Speaking on screen at the The Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, she thanked the ceremony organisers for hosting a tribute to her pop star mother.

She then teared up as she spoke of the support Olivia received during her decades-long battle with breast cancer which tragically took her life in August aged 73.

‘Thank you so much for doing this beautiful tribute to my mum. She was so grateful and so moved by all of the support that she received from Australia during her cancer battle,’ she began.

At this point, Chloe choked up and pressed a hand to her heart before continuing on.

‘Excuse me. I just wanted to say thank you so much for remembering her so beautifully and I ask that you continue to remember my mum and honour her by supporting the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre so that my mum’s dream can come true. A world without cancer.’

‘Please enjoy the world without cancer. Please enjoy the night, live it up, have fun, enjoy the tribute and enjoy life like my mum did. Thank you so much,’ she finished.

Olivia died peacefully in her home in Southern California on the morning of August 8, surrounded by family and friends.

It came after a brave and extraordinarily public decades-long battle with cancer in which she was diagnosed three times in 1992, 2013 and, for a final time, in 2017.

Her husband John Easterling revealed she, in her final days, wanted all Australians suffering from cancer to have access to alternative medicines.

The film producer, 70, told The Herald Sun Australia’s sweetheart was ‘fortunate’ enough to ‘have access to a broad variety of wellness treatments’ and she wanted others to have the same privilege.

The treatments, which included medicinal cannabis, ‘undoubtedly extended Olivia’s life and gave her quality of life’.

He went on to say The Grease star was ‘cheerful and joyful and pain free’ because of the alternative treatments and didn’t need ‘toxic chemicals or addictive painkillers’ to manage her terminal illness.

Unfortunately, not all cancer patients have access to these medicines.

Olivia often lobbied politicians to try to influence change within the law and make medicinal cannabis available to patients at Melbourne’s ONJ Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.
