Cher, 76, walked hand in hand with her dramatically younger boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 36, as they stepped out in Los Angeles this Friday.

The pair were headed to a pre-Grammy dinner at the swank Beverly Hills sushi haunt Matsuhisa, two days before the music awards will take place.

For her latest outing Cher, who won a Grammy for Believe in 2008, opted for understated elegance in silver slacks, a black top and a monochrome jacket.

Accentuating her striking features with makeup, she sported a luxurious platinum blonde hairdo and accessorized with a black handbag.

Matsuhisa is the brainchild of the world-famous sushi chef Nobu Matsuhisa, who is also the namesake of the Nobu restaurants favored by such stars as the Kardashians.

Cher and ‘AE’ exuded romantic bliss as they headed up the sidewalk together hand in hand during their Friday night on the town.

The duo were first introduced at Paris Fashion Week in September of last year and are thought to have started dating two months later.

In December Cher appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show poked fun at the yawning 40-year age gap between her and her toyboy, a Def Jam music executive. 

‘Well, on paper it’s kind of ridiculous,’ Cher admitted: ‘but in real life we get along great. He’s fabulous and I don’t give men qualities that they don’t deserve.’ 

She hailed Alexander as ‘very kind’ and added: ‘He’s very smart, he’s very talented and he’s really funny so – and I think he’s quite handsome.’ 

Cher noted: ‘If I hadn’t met younger men in my life, I would have never had a date, because older men just didn’t like me all that much, do you know what I mean?’

The If I Could Turn Back Time singer had ‘a couple boyfriends’ who were ‘hovering around my age’ but she felt that ‘they just didn’t like me for some reason.’

Cher shot to fame in the 1960s alongside her mentor and first husband Sonny Bono, whom she met when he was 28 and she was just 16.

By the mid-1970s their romance crumbled into a rancorous divorce, which she filed for on grounds of ‘involuntary servitude.’

On Kelly’s show she said: ‘Younger men don’t care if you’re, you know, funny or outrageous and wanna do stupid things and, you know, and you have a strong personality, you know? I mean I’m not giving up my personality for anybody, okay?’ 

After a storm of rumors that they were an item, Cher finally confirmed on Instagram last month that she is dating Alexander.

When another fan on Twitter brought up the massive age gap, she retorted: ‘LOVE DOESNT KNOW MATH, IT SEES [hearts].’

Cher has a longtime fondness for sensationally younger men, such as Rob Camilletti, whom she took up with in the 1980s when she was 40 and he 22.

Rob, who became known as the ‘Bagel Boy’ because he worked in a bagel shop, was Cher’s Oscar date when she won best actress for Moonstruck in 1988.

Alexander currently holds a position as vice president of artists and repertoire at Def Jam Recordings, the home of such stars as Justin Bieber and 2 Chainz.

He currently has a three-year-old son called Slash Electric with his ex Amber Rose, whose romantic history also includes Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa.

Amber and Alexander began dating in 2018 only for their relationship to go down in flames over the summer of 2021 as she slammed him for his serial infidelity.

‘All 12 of y’all bums (the ones that I know of there’s probably more) can have him,’ she seethed on social media. ‘Y’all very much knew he was in a relationship with a baby and y’all decided to f**k him anyway. I saw all the texts and DM’s. Y’all were well aware but y’all don’t owe me any loyalty so it’s whatever.’ 

Alexander then publicly admitted on Instagram Live that he had cheated on Amber, describing unfaithfulness as his ‘true nature.’

When he started running around with Cher, her fans began warning her on Twitter about his history of infidelity to the point she issued a response.

‘BABE, ENGLISH IS MY FIRST LANGUAGE, I’M IN [HEART] NOT BLINDED BY IT,’ she wrote. ‘KNOW WHAT I KNOW…SMOKE DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN [FIRE].’

Another fan fretted in her replies about the possibility that she might get ‘taken advantage of,’ to which she replied: ‘As we All Know …I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY,& What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance.I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am.’
