Australian fans left devastated after Madonna fails to announce any shows Down Under for her first greatest hits tour: ‘Gutted’

Madonna’s Australian fans were left deflated on Wednesday when the music icon failed to announce any new tour dates Down Under.

Thirty-five concert dates have been scheduled between the opening show in Vancouver on July 15 and an Amsterdam gig on December 1.

The Grammy Award-winning performer filmed an X-rated video to make her long-awaited announcement, which had been speculated for some time.

In the clip, she snogs Jack Black and challenges Amy Schumer to emulate a sex act before Diplo flasher her pals after being told to ‘show his d**k’.

Meanwhile Australian fans vented their disappointment on social media.

The Like A Prayer singer, 64, has only visited Australia twice before – in 1993 for The Girlie Show Tour and 2016’s Rebel Heart Tour.

‘How’s it called a world tour if it’s [The Celebration Tour] only [going to] America and a few places in Europe?’ one fan wrote.

‘I’m gutted, I thought she might come to Australia,’ another said.

‘Maybe Australia and Asia will be next year?’ one conceded.

The Celebration Tour will take the iconic chart-topper back on the road for the first time since her Madame X shows between 2019 and 2020.

Multiple dates have been locked in for cities across two continents so far.

She will hit 11 European cities, including London on October 24, then onto Barcelona, Paris, and Stockholm among others.

Daily Mail Australia reached out to Madonna’s representatives for comment.

Madonna is one of the best-selling artists in history with almost 400 million albums sold.
