The frame of belt conveyor is divided into head frame, tail frame, intermediate frame and outrigger, tensioning device frame, driving device frame, etc. The plates and profiles used by the rack must be made of high-quality steel and treated by the steel shot peening pretreatment process (the deviation between the belt conveyor center line and the theoretical center line caused by the manufacturing and device error of the rack will lead to the deviation of the conveyor belt; the poor stiffness design of the rack, or cutting corners, or wrong materials will lead to the deviation of the conveyor belt).

The longitudinal center line of the rack shall coincide with the longitudinal center line of the conveyor, and the allowable deviation shall be less than or equal to 3mm; The linear deviation of the longitudinal center line of the frame is less than or equal to 5mm in any length; However, in the whole length of the conveyor, the upper frame to the belt center line is less than or equal to 35mm; The perpendicularity deviation of the ground of the frame leg building is two over one thousand; The left and right dislocation deviation and elevation deviation at the frame joint are less than or equal to 1mm; The allowable deviation of the spacing between the intermediate frames on both sides is less than or equal to plus or minus 1.5mm; The elevation difference of the middle frames on both sides shall not be greater than two over one thousand of the middle distance. In the plane perpendicular to the longitudinal center line of the frame, the diagonal deviation of the frames on both sides is less than or equal to plus or minus 2mm, and the transverse levelness of the frame is equal to two thousandths of the width; The spacing of the idler frame in the bending section of the belt conveyor with the longitudinal levelness error less than or equal to 10mm is one-half to one-third of the spacing of the normal idler frame. The conveyor is equipped with a spring cleaner at the end of the conveyor section. The distance between the cleaner and the conveyor belt shall not be more than 2-3mm, and there shall be sufficient pressure, and the contact length shall be more than 85%.

There are several reasons for belt damage, such as excessive impact force, deviation, improper use of sealing system or belt cleaner, stuck components and insufficient traction of drum, etc. The belt is the most expensive part of the conveyor, so we must find the potential cause of the belt problem and actively take measures to avoid irreparable damage.

Solution: there are many reasons for belt damage, so there are many different solutions. For example, installing buffer idlers or brackets in the feeding area can disperse the impact of falling materials, so as to reduce the wear and tear of the belt. Using a suitable sealing system can prevent the belt from being damaged by stuck materials. The use of appropriate roller coating material can increase the friction and prevent the belt from slipping without damage soon. These solutions help minimize maintenance downtime, which is usually determined by a belt inspection. Belt inspection can catch slight belt damage, so as to avoid serious failure in the future.

Methods of prolonging the service life of belt conveyor belt:

Belt conveyor is widely used in enterprises, especially in building materials industry. PI Fu conveyor is an indispensable main conveying equipment. Therefore, the operation rate of the belt conveyor is directly related to the production of the whole enterprise and the economic benefits of the enterprise. The conveyor belt is the main part of the belt conveyor. How to reduce the wear of the conveyor belt and prolong the service life of the conveyor belt has become the key to the problem. When the belt conveyor conveys materials, especially when conveying large pieces of materials and materials with high humidity, the chute is often blocked. Once the chute is blocked, the materials will fill the feed hopper in a very short time, resulting in friction between the materials and the conveying management, causing serious wear and tear to the conveyor belt and causing losses to the enterprise. In actual production, it is considered that the following solutions can effectively improve the service life of the conveyor belt:

(1) The belt conveyor truncates the rear baffle of the feed hopper and adds an auxiliary chute to make the distance between the rear baffle of the feed hopper and the transmission drum greater than the maximum particle size of the transported material (generally 1.5 times of the maximum particle size of the material).

(2) In order to stop the belt conveyor in time after the chute is blocked, a grid shaped flap is added in the auxiliary chute (making the grid shape is to prevent the effect of dust accumulation). The flap is connected with a lever, and a group of breeding blocks with adjustable weight are added at the other end of the lever. The weight of the counterweight block is slightly heavier than the weight of the flap (according to the specific situation), The counterweight end is connected with a control switch (the type and model of the switch are selected according to the specific situation) to connect the switch with the shutdown control line of the belt conveyor. When the chute of the belt conveyor blocks the accumulation of materials, the materials will fall into the auxiliary chute from above the rear baffle of the feed hopper under the action of the driving drum, thus pressing the grid flap. Through the action of lever, the breeding block end will touch the switch to quickly stop the belt conveyor, so as to reduce the friction between the conveyor belt and materials and avoid excessive wear or tear of the conveyor belt.
